TMG brings you Master Allen, who will be presenting Rope Suspension Bondage @ Glen Eden Pilot Park. Rope Suspension bondage is a form of sexual bondage where a bound person is hung from one or more overhead suspension points. Suspension bondage is considered to carry a higher risk than other forms of sexual bondage.
The main effect of suspension bondage is to create a heightened sense of vulnerability and inescapability, as the subject is made to feel that by attempting to free themselves they may fall and hurt themselves, thus also creating a form of mental bondage in addition to the physical one that holds them. Being suspended, especially in a large open space, also creates a sense of objectification, submissiveness and erotic helplessness for the subject, which can be erotically stimulating for them and for those observing them. Rope suspension is sometimes done as performance art at BDSM conventions and fetish-themed nightclubs.
Suspension can alternatively create a sense of liberation in that one can "fly" around the room, and some styles of rigging are optimal for the suspendee to have control over their spin rate, body position, and general activities. Trance-like states are also common, resulting alternatively or simultaneously from the sensations of 'anti-gravity", the heightened awareness of one's body, and the sacrifice of ones' natural physical strengths.

The creation of a hypnotic state can be a powerful medium for altering and reinforcing behavior. This workshop will explore the practical application of hypnosis in an erotic and power exchange environment and attendees will be given an overview of the history, techniques, and limitations of hypnosis. A brief demonstration will be given and volunteers may be asked to participate as well.

Kuma moved into Carolina BDSM community a little over 3 years ago from Colorado but has been involved in the formal BDSM lifestyle since 1989. Entering the scene as 24/7 owned property he learned much about protocol and decorum in a traditional leather household that drew heavily upon old guard ideals for its inspiration. The ensuring twenty years in the lifestyle has seen him evolve in his identification and role to where he is today as a dominant and owner of his partner and slave Andraste. He is currently the head of HausuKuma a chosen family of individuals who have bonded together in both life and the lifestyle.
Kuma is a well rounded and experienced dominant with particularly strong skills in caning, mind fucks, and knife play. He uses and directs energy flow in his scenes and feels this brings a high degree of intimacy and connection to the moment. Hypnosis and role play in scene are two favorite areas for exploration. Kuma’s play philosophy is that of Risk Aware Consensual Kink (RACK) and he makes every attempt to minimize actual danger while maximizing sensations and experiences. He is First Aid and CPR certified.
He was a charter member of Denver’s National Leather Association chapter and served on the boards of numerous and diverse organizations in the Colorado community. He is a former chairman of Leather Magick, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides direct assistance to individuals and household within the BDSM community in Colorado.
He has served on the volunteer staff of Thunder in the Mountains in many capacities and has been a dungeon monitor for this premier lifestyle event on numerous occasions. He also helped to inaugurate the Danse of Life, a semiannual spiritual event in Denver that combines ritual piercing, flesh hooking and suspension as the spiritual and energetic coordinator for this event.
Kuma has presented at local and regional events on subjects such as erotic knife play, caning, fear play, and hypnosis. His current class listing includes topics such as domestic violence in the lifestyle, and the dynamics involved when a dominant partners with a switch.
Kuma is a Wiccan Priest and he has also facilitated several alternative spiritual exploration groups for BDSM communities. In the role of spiritual leader and councilor in the leather community he has had the great privilege to officiate at rituals ranging from weddings to memorial services. He is also a certified domestic violence counselor.
Kuma is a skilled crafter of BDSM impact toys that he sells under the name Spirit Bear Woods; and is said to have a fiendish ability to create items that combine both beauty and brutality. |
